Our Work & Travel Australia program helps
you find paid positions anywhere in Australia. We provide you with
the sponsorship necessary for the proper visa, along with the support,
guidance and flexibility to find just the job you are suited for.
Paid positions include: waiting tables,
clerical work, telemarketing, sales and service work, production
and transport work, seasonal work and call center work.
Prior to arrival we will help you prepare your resume and
cover letter for the Australian job market. Upon arrival you
will have a pre-arranged consultation with a recruitment consultant
who will go through your resume, discuss job opportunities,
give housing assistance and review positions currently available.
This saves you 2-3 weeks of time familiarizing yourself with
the local scene and job market.

What
you get:
Accommodations:
Your first two nights at a local youth hostel are included.
This is a great way to meet new people and settle in.
Salary:
Working a typical 40-hour week in Australia in an unskilled
position, you can expect to make around $500-$700 AUD per
week. This is based on earnings of approximately $15-$17 per
hour for a 40 hour work week, which is a gross wage before
taxes. Due to the high tax rate for people that come to Australia
on a 416 visa or Working Holiday Maker visa, the net wages
are closer to $400 - $500 AUD per week (approximately $368
- $460 USD). We cannot guarantee any specific wage, as with
all jobs, pay varies depending on the industry, the location,
your skills and the current demand for workers. The salary
relationship is entirely between you and the employer.
Orientation:
You will have an in-country orientation arranged for you upon
your arrival. During orientation you will be introduced to
Australia, be given advice about finding work and housing,
as well as meet new people. The location of your orientation
is within minutes of your hostel.
Visa Documentation: The Work and Holiday*
visa allows you to work and travel in Australia for up to
1 year, as long as you change jobs every 6 months. All participants
are responsible for applying for their visa and for any additional
visa fees. The application fee for the Australian Work and
Holiday visa is AUD180 to AUD 190, depending on which citizenship
you hold, which is around $162 USD - $178 USD. Upon arrival
in Australia, you may be asked to provide evidence that you
have access to sufficient funds to support yourself for the
initial stage of your stay in Australia. Generally, AUD5,000
may be regarded as sufficient, but the amount may vary depending
on your length of stay and the extent of your travel. You
should also be able to provide proof of a return or onward
ticket or the funds for a fare to depart Australia. Evidence
may include a certified copy of a bank statement and an air
ticket out of Australia.
