Why is it important to call before treatment?

1. Pre-approval is required for all medical treatments and hospitalizations. Failure to do so will cause a reduction in coverage reimbursements, up to and including a denial of coverage. In a medical emergency, you need to call as soon as possible after seeking treatment.

2. The Claims Office will let you know what coverage is authorized and will help you make an appointment with cooperating doctors who accept this insurance. They will also help you decide if you should be going to a clinic, doctor or hospital for treatment.

3. WHY do you require pre-approval? The cost for medical care is very high if the doctor is not part of the network, so you need to let us help you find a doctor in the network. You also want to be sure that the condition you are seeking treatment for is covered.

What does my insurance cover?

You have limited coverage for:

• Illness
• Injury
• Medical Evacuation
• Repatriation

Certain limitations may apply to your policy.

Your coverage does not include:

• Pre-existing conditions, including any illness that begins before your arrival in the destination country (e.g. asthma or diabetes).
• Routine medical check-ups
• Dental and eye care
• Injuries from hazardous activities, including rock climbing, sailing, diving and skiing (ski insurance may be purchased separately).
• Psychiatric care
• Physical therapy

When does my insurance begin and end?

Your coverage begins the day you travel away from your home country and ends the day your program ends, or whenever you return to your home country, whichever is first.

What will I have to pay when I go to the doctor or hospital?

You are responsible for a ‘deductible’ each time you are using any covered services. This is the amount that you are responsible for paying for services at the time of the visit.

Doctors and Clinics:

• $50 deductible for the first visit
• $25 for each follow-up visit per illness or event.

For any emergency room visit:

• $250 deductible
• This amount will be lowered to $50 if you are admitted to the hospital.

What do I need to bring with me when I go to the Doctor or Hospital?

You should bring your insurance card, photo identification and a copy of your visa.

What if the Doctor/Hospital does not recognize or will not accept this insurance?

If you have received pre-approval and guidance from CORIS, you will not have a problem.

Ask the Doctor’s office to call:

1-800-358-9105 (in the USA) or +359-2-950-5010, +359-2-950-5011 (in other countries) to speak with a CORIS representative. If they absolutely refuse to accept this insurance, you will need to pay the bills yourself and then use a claim form (also found on the website) to seek reimbursement from Bulstrad Life.

I want to go skiing during my program. Am I covered if I have an accident?

AIDE travel insurance does NOT cover recreational skiing, so if you think that there is any chance that you will be skiing during your program, we strongly encourage you to buy this low-cost ski insurance.

Cost: $20 per month

Terms and Conditions:

1. This insurance is a supplement to your standard Bulstrad Insurance, and all terms apply, including deductible.

2. If your job is at or near a winter resort area (with skiing opportunities), you can buy this ski insurance before or during your program.

3. If your job is not in a winter resort area, you may only buy this ski insurance before your program start date!

4. This ski insurance coverage is valid only the dates of your program.

5. This ski insurance is not retroactive; if you buy it once your program date has started, the ski insurance fee is non-refundable in any case.
