Internship
Description: The Marketing Intern will be
responsible for the following:
- Organizing and administering competitor surveys and surveys
of program participants.
- Assist in buzz marketing campaigns, creating buzz marketing,
creating and updating blogs, conducting research on blogging,
conducting market research, maintaining facebook network.
- Assist in creating presentations on traveling, volunteering,
working and teaching abroad.
- Assist in updating website content.
- Assist in answering inquiries.
- Assist in creation of program materials, material edits.
- Assist in other administrative duties as necessary.
- This position is unpaid.
- Requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.
- Require a commitment of at least 3 months. Prefer a commitment
of 7 months (through August 2008). Interested in interviewing
for both the Spring Semester and Summer session.

- Must be a Junior, Senior or have graduated
- Prefer Marketing, Communication, Journalism or Business
majors. Design experience welcome.

Position title: Program director
Position duties: Plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of AIDE, a non-profit international outreach organization dedicated to giving back to local and global communities, and to creating socially responsible citizens. AIDE coordinates the activities of outbound U.S. nationals seeking a socially meaningful experience abroad through teaching, volunteering, and other activities with the needs and the full participation of the communities they seek to serve.
The Program Director will: oversee the budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits; establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations to ensure that participants are meeting community needs; prepare and maintain records and reports, such as budgets, personnel records, and all participant training materials; recruit staff members and volunteers, direct their activities, and evaluate their work to ensure that all AIDE programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively; participate in the determination of organizational policies regarding such issues as participant eligibility, program
requirements, and program benefits; and be the public face of AIDE to the community, U.S. and foreign governments and the media.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Business, Marketing, or other relevant field, and two (2) years of experience in international/cultural exchange or education. If you are interested in the opportunity, please
